About Us
About the Athabasca Arts Alliance
The Athabasca Arts Alliance is built on the bones of the old Athabasca Fringe Festival. We have a lot of the same ideas, a lot of the same people, and a bunch of new ideas as well.
Instead of a summer festival, we’re presenting a year-round series of arts and entertainment events we call Triple-A LIVE! We’ll also do everything we can to promote and advance the other live performing arts events presented in our community, both by touring artists and by local singers, musicians, dancers, actors, and artists.
We’ve also taken an interest in looking after the Nancy Appleby Theatre, and we are participating in improving the technical integrity of the theatre. If you’re interested in helping the theatre run smoothly, please join us.
Our membership
Arts Alliance members have a varied background in and around the arts. Some have experience as artists of various sorts, and others know a lot about arts administration and promotion and the media.
We welcome new members, whether it’s to volunteer to help for a specific occasion or to become involved on the committees that plan and execute our events.
Our attitude
We want to be of service to the community, and first of all to the audiences for the arts. We want to be sure that you know what’s on, that you have the opportunity to attend, and that you have a chance to influence the selection of future visiting performers.
We want to be of service in whatever way we can to arts presenters in and around Athabasca. If we can, we’ll help promote your events, help with joint scheduling, and work to avoid scheduling conflicts.
Contact us
More than anything, the Arts Alliance will be approachable. Our success depends upon being in regular contact with artists, audiences, and presenters. Use the “Contact” tab on the website to reach the Arts Alliance.
