Full Fall Schedule
You’ll find plenty of arts and entertainment activity in Athabasca through the month of October.
Oct. 16 – David Francey
David Francey performs for the Heartwood Folk Club in the Nancy Appleby Theatre, 7:30 p.m. Tickets are $25 at the door or $22 in advance at Value Drug Mart and other locations.
Oct. 21 – Lorne Elliott
One of Canada’s favourite comic voices brings his warm and daft sense of humour to the Ellscott Community Hall. You can have dinner and enjoy the show for $35 or just take in the show for $20. Tickets for youth (under 16) are $20 for dinner and the show or $10 for just the show.
Oct. 28 – Music of the Century
The Athabasca Community Band performs a concert of music inspired by the recent 100th anniversary of the founding of the town of Athabasca.

A highlight will be the Number 1 song from the year 1911, Alexander’s Ragtime Band. The concert takes place at the Missionary Church in Athabasca at 7:30 p.m. Admission is by donation.
Oct 25-30 – Kelsey’s Girls
A new play by Dan Bagan, author of Little Girl Lost. Oct. 25 sneak preview, admission by donation to the food bank. Otherwise, admission is $15 adults and $10 seniors and children (under 12). Nancy Appleby Theatre, Oct. 26-29 at 7 p.m. and Oct. 30 at 3 p.m. Advance tickets at Value Drug Mart.
